Some Suggestions for SEO Pressor Users
SEO Pressor is a WordPress plugin to analyze on page SEO for your blog posts or pages. SEO Pressor works based on some rules of on page SEO (Search Engine Optimization), after you determined the main keyword for your blog post, SEO Pressor will analyze your post and give some suggestions to optimize your on page SEO.
I found some SEO Pressor’s suggestions that are not too important to be followed. I think they are just a deficiency that need to be fixed in the next version (currently version 4.0). Here they are:
1. SEO Pressor always suggests adding H1 tag
Whereas many WordPress themes automatically add H1 tag on the post title. SEO Pressor only analyzes the content of post and does not analyze the title, so SEO Pressor always suggests adding H1 tag and adds your keyword on it.
2. SEO Pressor always suggests adding nofollow tag on all external links
I think you should not always follow this suggestion, because some important external links that are point to authority sites and highly related to your posts will give value to search engines (please see below to learn more). I admit it’s not easy task to determine which is highly related and authority links so that SEO Pressor puts into same effect to all external links.
Here’re some important things regarding external or outgoing links:
- Link only to good sites. Do not link to link farms. Careful, links can and do go bad, resulting in site demotion. Unfortunately, you must devote the time necessary to police your outgoing links – they are your responsibility.
- Should be on topic, descriptive
- Avoid “Link Churn”, avoid link to spammy sites.
- Validate all links periodically.
- Linking to authority. Some say this gives a boost, others say that is not. However, it certainly is the opposite of linking to trash.
Conclusion
Overall, SEOPressor is good and very useful SEO plugin to optimize your on-page SEO. SEOPressor does what it’s supposed to do – It helps you with on-page optimization which in turn helps with getting your pages ranked.
SEOPressor saves your time immensely, please see how it keeps track of the keyword density on the page (how often does the target keyword occurs compared to the total number of words) and warns the user if the density is too low or too high – keyword density should not below 1% and not exceed 6%. With this feature you’ll not be nervous of knowing your keyword density or you don’t need to count your keywords and compare them to total number of words. SEOPressor does these jobs for you automatically.
On Page SEO is totally under webmaster control, so there’s no any reason to not doing On Page optimization. Also, all search engines look at on-page relevancy first before look at backlinks and other factors. So if the on-page factors aren’t sorted out well, going after link building is just a waste of effort and time.

On-Page SEO Plugin for Wordpess like SEOPressor is very helpful for me and for other SEO expert. SEOPressor proved itself within the first couple weeks of use, for me.
I will tell you that within 2 weeks of using SEOPressor to optimize some existing posts on one of my sites, I saw several of those break
through onto the first page.In my humble opinion, the plugin would be made that much better if they would make it look at the following additional factors: Meta description, Meta keyword tags, and Post title.
